Acoustoplasma synthesis of metal oxide
nanopartilces and creation of nanostructured
coatings on material surfaces
with application of ultrasound |

in this work, a novel type of plasma discharge forming in a liquid
in intensive ultrasonic field above the cavitation level with
volumetric luminescence in entire area between electrodes and
raising volt-ampere characteristics is described and it is shown
that this plasma can be effectively used for various physical and
chemical processes. In this acoustoplasma discharge, nanoparticles
of oxides of various metalls – aluminium, copper, stanum,
iron, titanium, indium, molibdenium etc. with controlled shape
and particle size distribution were synthesized. Nanoparticles
obtained have been further on used for creation of coatings on
various materials, including glass and polymers, polyacrylates,
polycarbonates etc.
