In this article shown (or you can see) the following main questions: wear pattern of working tools of tillage machines, there are different criteria for working tools replacement due to wear, and are the main directions of improving the working tools durability. Designed the analytic forms for defining of working tools durability without their field tests. These calculations are based on the features of the soil ability to wear out and the relative durability of the materials obtained in the laboratory. There are presented the efficient calculations of the using Russian plough PLN-4-35 and German plough LemkenEvrOpal 7. There is shown the efficiency of Russian plough using, when plowing soil, is 2 times higher than at German plough. Key words: soil, soil preparation, plough, working tool, durability, efficiency.
