News Academy of Engineering Sciences A.M. Prokhorov Annotation << Back MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF HEARTING EFFECTS IN ONE-OUTLET VORTEXS TUBES SH.A. PIRALISHVILI The methodology of the temperature stratifi cation in the vortex fl ow in the axisymmetric channel in the presence of single inlet and single outlet mathematical modeling is presented. The averaged by the flow full temperature of the gas fl ow on the inlet to the swirling nozzle and on the outlet from the central orifi ce of the end diaphragm placed on the end face of the nozzle input diff ers only for a value determined by the throttling effect in accordance to the thermodynamic laws. In the zones remote from the nozzle inlet of the channel blading section the areas with the full temperature which is higher on 40…60 % than the full temperature in the inlet are formed. This fact allowed calling this device – the single outlet vortex tube with, representing the high technic interest, for example during the creation of the fuel-air mix ignition devices in the afterburners. Thus, as experimental researches shown, the thermal ignition is observed with the inlet temperatures lower at the mentioned percentage than the well-known values.
